Jen and I's Spring Break

This is a little long but I really loved our trip so here is and this isn’t everything so this is the short version.
Saturday morning we left and I drove most of the way because Jen didn’t like driving through KC so after ten hours of driving we get to her grandmothers farm in NW Kansas were I was a little intimidated because this is a grandmother that has been around for a while and can see stuff that others can’t so I was just breathing. We were going to stay for another day but when we heard of a nasty storm coming we decided to leave that next day so we wouldn’t get stuck in Kansas for most of the week. That nite I had the whole upstairs to myself. It was weird but I was comfortable. The farm was so cool I wished me could have explored it and we were planning on doing that next day but we had to leave early.
That next morning (Sunday) we left for Colorado Springs, CO while she was driving the whole way. We got some snow but we got there with out too much trouble. Those mountains were breathtaking as it was the first time seeing them. For the rest of the week I got to spend time with Jen’s family (her bother Jon, sister in law Jacque, and two nephews: JJ and the youngest Joe.) The drive didn’t agree with Jen so she went to bed early and there I was we her brother and sister in law. We watched a movie and then we had to move my bed up to my room at 12 or so at nite. It was fun let me tell you what. I went to bed and was awoken by Jen coming into my room around 3 or so telling me she was alright. We talked for a while and she went back to her room.
Monday was a snow day so the nephews were home and Jacque didn’t have to go to class that day so we spent the day playing around. We had so much fun that they left with the youngest while the others had to go to an appointment. That nite we all played games and watch movies. It was a blast!
Tuesday Jen and I played games and lounged around the house that day.
Wednesday I went weight lifting with Jacque and it was said that I was able to run 2 miles but I proved them wrong when I did a 17 min two mile and when I was done it felt like I just got done with a race. I was tired so I got home I took a nap. Jen and I went out exploring that day and cut it short cuz I forgot my camera and we wanted to go to Joe’s play. The play was great and we all went out to eat that nite.
Thursday I slept in and Jen and I went to do more exploring. We went to the Olympic training center, which was great. Jen regretted letting me go to the Spirit Story (gift shop.) After that we went to the Air force academy where we explored the area has much as we could. The chapel there was awesome and at the visitor center you could tell that where recruit everyone that came with signs everywhere and advertisements.
Friday we headed back to Jen’s grandmothers where it was a grand time. I got to learn a new game and felt like Jen’s grandmother had warmed up to me more. It was fun. I had the whole upstairs to myself again and a goodnite sleep.
Saturday we left for Missouri were we stopped off in KC to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. Always good food and a great time getting lost in KC. I don’t if I will ever like that town. After that we traveled to St. Charles to spend time with Jen’s mother and helping her out moving some stuff around the house. Sunday we all went to church and went out to eat afterwards at Charles. It is kind of like a Friday’s or Ruby Tuesdays. It was ok. We went back and relaxed for a while. Jen wanted to be back in town to see her work schedule so we left but we got stuck in traffic for a while and yeah, we didn’t get back until 9:30 or so. We were both tired and wore out. We got an each other’s nerves but she didn’t make me walk back. We had a great time and we are still together. This was the best Springbreak and ever had. I think that is the only Springbreak were I ever went anywhere.

Springbreak

SPRING BREAK WAS GREAT!!! I will tell more later but right now here is a question...

When things are going so good and the future is looking promising why can't one have faith that it will keep that way? Why can't one enjoy that things that life has to give?

Here we go

4 days I will be on Spring break and I’m not even in school. How cool is that. Jen and I are going on a road trip out west. We will be leaving Saturday morning for Kansas to spend a couples days with her Grandmother and then off to Colorado Springs. In Colorado Springs we will be staying with Jen’s brother and sister-in-law who I hear are we cool.
In the past I had a spring break when I was in school but I never went anywhere but I have been a lot of place since I have been out. It was Florida one summer, Texas another, and Colorado Springs. For an added bonus I get to go with woman I can’t get enough of. We are both forward to the road trip if we don’t kill each other first. Not saying we will but 16 hours in a car and whole week with me.
This last weekend we did a lot of talking and we had a great weekend.
Friday I got spend time with my friends, which I loved. It was great to have most everyone there but it was good to hang out again.
Saturday during the storms we had I cooked dinner for Jen and she liked it.
Sunday after church Jen and I went to look at houses. Don’t get any funny ideas. Not for us but we just love to look at house and see what we like and don’t like. It is fun. Sunday during the storms Jen and I talked to get through the storm. I love storms and rainy weather but when there are Tornados in the mix and I don’t have a place to go it starts to make me wonder. At my old place I knew where to go but at the new place there are no real good places go. I was thinking my bathroom, the guy do below me, or the drainage tunnel across the way.
The Explorer (Randy) got a little tented up but just a little. After the huge hail stones I saw outside my door I was thankful more was done. The girl next to me her back windshield got shattered.
Last week was a weird week. My body was really worn out and I didn’t know why but I think my body is back to normal and I’m ready for action. I think. Ha!I’m up over and outta here…

back from KC

KC went very well. I learned a lot and now I want to use it. I got to see some of my friends but not enough time to see them all. I did found out that I don’t think I could be one to those people that lives out of his suitcase or travel a lot living on the road in a hotel. I need roots! I need a schedule! I got a little homesick. I missed my friends back here and I missed Jen. I came back Friday thinking it is the weekend but it just felt like I got back for the weekend. It was weird but it missed up my thinking pattern. Friday nite was pretty good. A friend was in town for a celebration so I was out with them but I stayed way to late and I was glad to be back in my bed to sleep it off.
Saturday I was awoke for a lovely wake-up call from Jen and we spent most of the day together exploring cool new places, we did a lot of talking, we also did some walking, and telling her about my adventure to the big city.
Sunday we met at church and I was planning on spending the day with her but we were planning to go up to St. Charles to visit her mother and get some stuff done but that didn't work out and we started planning for her spring break. I’m excited!! I can’t wait to see Colorado. To see where she grew up and to meet more of her family.
Tonite I get to go back to the LSC. I really did miss last week. I wanted to here what Jena and Josh had to say but I could be there. It felt very weird watching TV on a Tuesday nite last week. I really felt out of place. So what happens when I stop going to the LSC? I won’t do it till it is time but I feel it getting closer. I’m growing up and they atmosphere stays the same. God will tell me when it is time and then I will go on to a grand new adventure but till then I will enjoy my time at the LSC.I did do a lot of thinking last week and the friends helped me out in thinking about what I would like to do. What I enjoy in my life, what I’m good at, where I would like to see myself but that is all just thinking and hard to say where the future will lead me. It is full of possibilities!! All I need is faith in the One got me to this point.
