Wow what a weekend!!

I ran my first race of the year and even though I was slower it went pretty good. The Sunshine 10K run is my first race of the year and one of my favorites also. For those who have been keeping up Dan and I have been training for our first marathon this next weekend in Chicago. Well we wanted to do good in the first race last weekend so we would peak in Chicago. I usually run faster then Dan does but not to hurt ours selves Dan and I ran together for some of the race. I told Dan that I would run with him for the first 3 miles and then I would see how I felt going from there. I hated seeing people pass me usually it is the other way around. Well as soon as 3 miles came around Dan said to go and go I did. I don't know how many people I passed but I passes a lot. Jen was around the 3 mile mark and she stopped counting at 140 and I still hadn't come. My over all place in the male was 75th in over all race around 95th place. My time was 45:30 mins. My friend Jen said I looked good coming into the finishing line. I felt good and I felt I still had a lot left which is what I wanted and so the Marathon is coming up and I'm hoping I peak then. It is going to take some smart racing to finish they way we hope. Wish us well.
