the weekend

I could complain but the bad things that happen this weekend but I’m not because my problems are nothing compared to what a lot of people have to go through but I did have some good happen this weekend.
Friday I went with the LSC to my first Springfield Cards game where we won. It was fun to meet new people and meet new ones. The game was great cuz the Cards hit like 4 homeruns. I didn’t catch any but wow. After the game I went back to Jen’s to see her new place. It is small but good enough for one person.
Saturday I went to a Missy and Mandy’s apt warming party and I had fun just hanging out eating their great food. Those girls can cook. Yummy!! That nite was the name change celebration so I was planning to go back to my place and ride my biek around but I didn’t get to do that because after the twins’ I went to my friend Rachel’s new place in the same apt complex. She wanted to show me her new place and it is fun to talk to her. We grew up together so I haven’t seen her in a while. I stayed until 11:30 and I thought I can’t get back home and get back to the college in time so I was just going to park someplace and walk over but that didn’t happen either. Deanna called and Mel and her were both home so I went over to there place. It is rare when they are both home anymore. We heard the celebration from there place and it was pretty load but SMS is no more and welcome MSU or should I say Missouri State.
Sunday I went to church at redeemer and that was fun. Amber, a new freshman at MSU, is from my hometown church and it was good to see her going to church cuz when you are a freshmen and a lot of people tend not to go to church. Jen came with us to and she isn’t even Lutheran so, maybe we have hooked another one. After church Rachel and Jen came over and helped my pack up my kitchen (I have some great friends) and other things. So, basically now I’m ready to get out of there on Wednesday. It is exciting but scaring at the same time but I think we will be fine.

Need for Speed

So last nite the LSC went to the 160 Grand Prix where the LSC treated us to four tickets to do either, baseball, putt putt, or go-karts. A group of four went to go first play putt putt where I never played that bad in my life. I think the course hates me. After I lost big time we went to go karts where we got race three times. The first one was fun where we went out first and kept it. I slowed up at the end to have a little fun but I still won. The second time I went out in third and after some great driving by yours truly I finished first. The Third time the freshman Dan said he was after me and he had the best car. I on the other hand had an average kart. My friend Jen came out behind me and was trying to past me from the start but it didn’t work. I have been racing since I was little and I know how to race. Well Dan came up on my tail trying to pass but I wouldn’t let him have it. I held them both off and came in first. I told them afterwards they should have double-teamed me then they might have had a chance but I wouldn’t count on it. Over all it was great fun! Thanks to the LSC for treating!Shout to some of my friends today. Happy Birthday to Brianna and Kendra!!!

Welcome back

Welcome back to all the college students and friends.
Life as seem to get more interesting lately and I have a pretty good idea why but I don’t really get into it just because it would be to long and nobody would read it.
This weekend was great. I got to see old friends, meet some new ones, and I got some juicing news, ha, ha but that is for another time.
I have told myself that I would let God take over and I think I have. I haven’t been acting on a lot of things as I have in the past. Why? I think I have realized some things in the last year or so. Now I just have to keep relying on the Him that knows what is in store for me.
Glad to have everyone back and for those that didn’t come back still miss yea.One and half weeks till I move and if you aren’t doing anything on the 31st of August I could sure use your help. I have to be out of my old place by 5:00 in the afternoon. The more the merrier. If you can’t make it till not or the next day still come over and see the new place. If you want more details get back to me.

this could be fun

Last nite I hanged out with Renee. She cooked me dinner and we got to talk a little bit before we went to see the movie. We went to go see Wedding Crashers. I liked it. I have given it 4 stars out of 5. I enjoyed it. Kind of predictable but still kept you on your toes. I didn’t like the ending so much but the rest of it was good. I liked the meaning behind it. Kind of! I’m not saying do what they did to you find yourself or the one but still it lets you know that everything leads to something else. As one doors closes another one opens. It might just take a little bit of time. After the movie we went back to her place a talked about things going on in our lives. Wow is funny that I’m finding that everyone at this age that his or her lives have been kind of flipped upside down. My parents and other people that are older have said to just keep in there and it does get better. I believe them but it is different when you are actually going through it.

So yea this is going to be a weekend that could kill me. Not really but I have a lot going on.
After I get off of work I’m riding home on my bike to hydrate with lots of water. I just got a call from a friend wants me to run with me but the only thing is that I’m the rabbit and so I’m running fast tonite. I haven’t been drinking lots fo water today cuz I have been going in and out of the office for the day. Could be fun
Then a friend of mine is town and she called last nite wanted to go out to Cowboys so I will be out there tonite.
Tomorrow I’m going to the LSC (Lutheran Student Center) to help clean up for the year then may be I can home and play with my new computer.
Sunday I’m to church service at the LSC (the only one of the year) at 10:30 am then I’m going to start packing some bigger stuff maybe for my big move at the end of the month.

Oh this weekend everyone heads back to college. So be nice to the freshmen. Remember you were once one….

take your time

My life the last couple of days has been CRAZY!! Well it all started last Friday when one of my bosses called me up saying I was suppose to be at work to help out with striping Nation St. on the side of SMSU or MSU. I said are you serous? He said yes welcome to the City of Springfield. Then he said he would pay for over time. I said ok, I will be here. The conclusion to that story will come later.
Friday after work I went to go help my friend Erin move into her new place. It was fun to meet some more of her family and friends and I got back around 10 or so.

Saturday I slept in because I needed it after the week I had. I felt really tired all week and I just couldn’t get rested up. I slept in till around 9 or so. Not a lot but it was still good to not to wake up to an alarm clock. I just packed a little and got ready to go the last wedding of the summer (#5 if anybody is counting). I meet friends at the LSC and we all went to the wedding together. I have been to all kinds of weddings and this one was one of the best. It was so elegant and I just felt a weird feeling during the whole service. It was our friends Amy and Jason getting married and the bride walked down to the song “At Last” and we all thought it was the original recording but it wasn’t. It was Amy singing and I knew she had a voice but wow. The girl can sing!!! They talked about the bride and grooms relationship, faith in God, and ect. That made them good for each other and I was just saying to myself I hope God provides someone with the like that. IT was a good day. Then that nite I was suppose to go out to Kelsey’s b-day party but she didn’t know when she was suppose to get back so I told her to call so I could catch a ride with them. She didn’t call until the go to the restaurant. If she forgot who knows. Well I got to meet “her new boyfriend” and his card wouldn’t work so I paid the big bill where he said he would pay me back, haven’t seen it yet. Errrrrr! We went to Traffic it was fun for the most part. There were some things here and there that I didn’t understand but it went ok.

Sunday I went to church where my friend Erin was there so I now have some friends back to site with. Yay!

After church I went shopping for a computer. To upgrade my computer I don’t think would be worth it and I have already tried upgrading once and it didn’t work so I thought now would be a good time to do it. I shopped at the big name in town and compared prices and learn some neat things about computers. I might go ahead a get the computer form Best-Buy. Since I moving into a new place that has wireless net built in already I might just get a laptop that I can move around and enjoy more. I will keep my desktop to for a storage-ben to save space on my laptop.

Sunday I went to bed around 9 and got up around 2:45 in the morning. Went to work and it rained the first day so they called it off and told us to be back here at 4 again.
I went back to work at my desk to end up with a 12 hr day. Went off and napped for about an hour and went running. Went to bed again around 9 again where my friend Jen called me at 10:30 to see what was up and I told I’m was sleeping and that I would tell her later why I had to be up at 4 am. The my friend Jen Y called me wanted to see what I was up to at 12:30. I told her the same thing. I couldn’t get to sleep for a while after that but I got up for work at 4 am. We waited out on National for 4 hrs till we started and we paved and striped most of National till 3. I didn’t eat lunch cuz I thought we were going to go back but we had good weather and so I could last with out food for a while. As long as I kept busy I would be fine and we were busy. I came back to my desk and worked another hr to make it another 12 hr day. I learned a lot and got to see some friends that were wondering what I was doing out in the street. It was fun to be out on site for a while. I miss working outside.

long one

This weekend I went to Ken and Sarah’s wedding and I had a blast. Saw some old friends, got some talking done, and I got to see two people before God, family, and friends pledge the rest of their lives to each other. Sapping? Naaaaaa! It was great to see that two people that have been through so much find each other in this messed up world.
The party afterwards was awesome also. We got to dance the nite away!!! The DJ was not so good but he tried. He played some Swing music, which I so want to learn more. I have learned a lot of the years just by trail and error. I went to a dance a year or so ago and I learned how to flip some one and I tried it this weekend but the only problem I need some one to do there fair share in the flip. I got to try it a couple of times but I guess my dance partner thought I was suppose to do everything. We were both frustrated so we kept on the floor.
After that I drove my date Kelsey down to her parents campsite. A lot of has been going on between and not much being said. We got a lot of stuff out but we will just have to see what happens.
Sunday went to church and I was happy to see my friend Hanna cause I haven’t seen her for probably close to a month. She is really fun to hang out with when we get a chance to. She is a very busy person. It was a nice morning but then that nite I got a taught a lesson in life. The lesson was don’t buy two tickets unless you know that person is coming. I don’t know if it was date I was on or not but I thought I would be nice and by the tickets. Well, she didn’t show up and me with two movie tickets but God works a weird ways when I my friend Brandy showed up with her friend Rodney, who was also female. Can Rodney be a female’s name? Anyway she was going to the same movie so she bought the ticket and we all went together. We saw Sahara and I liked it. Some of the things were unbelievable but it was still good. I gave it 4 stars. But Brandy was telling me about this get together and couple weeks and she said I could come. I old friends suppose to come down and I haven’t seen her since May. Could be fun!!!
Now for the person that didn’t show up hasn’t returned phone calls and won’t answer her IM’s which is her loss. Last nite I hung out with my friends Carrie and Kristi for the nite. We went to Wal-Mart and Target looking for stools. It was fun and I got to see a different side for both women. That was fun and interesting especially how they can turn stuff around so fast. Then Carrie and I went for a walk at around 10 and didn’t get back until close to 2. Yeah I’m paying for it today and I’m very tired. It was good to talk to her. She brings up stuff in a different light and I try. I don’t know how successful I am but I try. I went home and found the bed. I woke up then went back to bed and woke up 15 mins before I had to leave for work. Good thing I’m good….ok somebody is watching out for me up there. I was only 3 mins late.

set in motion

Things are in motion and it can’t stop now. I went to the fair twice this year and that is more then last year. A couple of friends and I went to see Dena Carter one Saturday that was ok as you fed before. Then on Tuesday a friends calls up out of the blue and ask if I want to go see Aaron Tippion and I said yea. I saw him when with my parents when I was very young and he buts on a great show so I couldn’t wait. Well on the way she gets a phone call form KTTS saying she won passes to meet Trace Adkins (another great singer) I was like sweet. She said if you boyfriend couldn’t go she would give me a call. Her boyfriend is a farmer working during the days so I was thinking I would probably go. So I was excited! When the time had come and gone I thought ok I guess her boyfriend could go but she said she would give me a call cause she would have extra tickets. Well she called to late (30 mins b4 the concert) for me to make it so I stayed in a packed some more.

My place is looking barer everyday. It is nice to go through old stuff and remember what was going on in life at that time in my life, but it also gives me a chance to let things go to.
Question of the day: Would you expect others to treat you the same way you treat them?

Not just the same old same old but respecting them, calling them when you say you will, showing up when you say you will, acknowledging their existence and ect…

Red Alert!!!

Well last nite was interesting. My friend Deanna came aver and we talked about a lot to stuff from the future to the what people have been up to. It was fun to just chat with a friend. It was even better cause she came over to my place. I am starting to pack up stuff so it was good that she came over so I could do that and hang out with a friend.

After she left I got back to packing when I heard this “beeping” sound. I looked about and went towards the sound. I went outside and the sound was coming from next door. Fire detector!!! I knocked on the door nicely a couple of times and then I hammered on the door. That brought back old RA days. Anywho, nobody was replying so I went and called 911.

Back to the story; I called them and told them the info they needed and then I got wallet, keys, and cell and went out the door beating on doors telling them of the situation.

About the time I got everyone out of that section of apartments and the Firemen came the “beeping” sound stopped. I thought Crap I hope I don’t get in trouble. The Firemen checked around and we called the Landlord saying the Firedudes wanted to double-check the inside.
Everything seems to be all right so they left without even checking the inside. I wanted to see them bust down the door but that didn’t happen. The Landlord called my neighbor and he raced home I guess. It turned out to be he left the burner on that was boiling tea. So that could have gotten worse. The Firefighters said it was better to be safe then sorry so I’m glad that I did call 911. The situation just brought up memories of what happen in St. Charles when I had to do the same thing that saved people and the apartment building.

Update

Update:

This is my lat month in my existing apartment. On the 31st of August I will be moving into my new apartment at Highland Apartments at Sunshine and Kansas Expressway. I will be moving in on the 31st, which is a Wednesday. If anyone wants to help I would most appreciated. This new apt has a washer and dry hook also so I was worried about not finding one in time or being able to afford it but God works in great ways. This weekend I was at my friend house right before we went to the fair and my friend Sara’s mom had some flyers and I caught a sight of the picture. She was sale her 10 yr wash and dryer that was only in use for 4 yrs. She said they were in good condition in storage. I saying this have to be a sign so I said I would take them. So I have that done. YAY!!! Now I just have to cancel everything at my other apt because at me new one I will have almost everything I need. Everything is paid for except for electricity and the apt comes with cable and Internet. Now if my computer can support the new Internet we will see. Could be interesting!! My Parents are coming down to help me. They don’t get to see much anymore and love to get the chance to help when they can. I miss them.
This weekend was pretty good. I didn’t get to do everything I wanted but that is how it goes sometimes. I did get to go to the fair, which was fun just to get out to something new. Ken and Sara are getting married next week and came upon some free tickets and invited me to come along. It was fun to go to a fair again. Ken, Sara, Mel, Bonnie, Ken’s brother and wife, WC and his wife, and some of Ken and Sara’s other friends came. I haven’t been a while so it was fun to go and enjoy again. Then we went to go see in Deana Carter and I hate to walk out on people but she was doing a lot of her new stuff with some of the stuff that she likes. I just couldn’t get into it. I don’t think she is good as she once was. She sung her more popular ones here and there but after they were done we just seem to get bored really easy. So we went back to the fair and just enjoyed games and laughing at each other doing weird things, mostly at me. Who would have thought that? J
Then Sunday I went to church and that was also pretty good. I found that I’m still a sinner and don’t trust in the Lord enough so, I still have work to do. I hate myself for that but I’m doing the best I can. I have been trough a lot of trials this year but they are making me the person I’m suppose to be.
I was going to play frizbee that day since I haven’t been there for like a month but I could bring myself to go. I just have a lot going on in me little head so I watch the Incredibles (great movie) and went out for a nite run. It was good to run again. I love to run! If I could run all day I would especially in the weather last nite. I needed it to get some thing thought out. I so want to run some races this year I just have to take it easy and not hurt myself again like I did last year. The one race I want to run is the Sunshine 10k run. The first year I did awesome then the next year (last year) did beat my PR (personal record) but it came with a price. I pushed it and broke myself and got hurt and every race I did after that I did that year. My goal is not to do that this year if I run it and just have fun with it.
